Irish Classic & Vintage Show 2011

This year was a very special one for the Irish Classic & Vintage Show. Not only was it the show's 20th anniversary but there was a record 1,286 cars on the field and organisers were hopeful that the 1,300 record would be hit.
This year the lead charity is St. Francis Hospice in Raheeny. St. Francis's will receive two thirds of the day's proceeds with a further one third going to The Children's Sunshine Home (this charity will be featured as the lead at next years show).
The annual event has raised in excess of 2 Million euro for deserving charities and by the attendance I witnessed today the 2011 show is going to make a real difference to the folks at St. Francis's.
There was a huge selection of makes on display. Veteran, Vintage and Classic Cars and Motorbikes as well as Kit and Custom Cars, Sports and Super Cars. Here are some pictures I took earlier. Feel free to drop us a comment below with your favourites.

Love the photos but disappointed that you didn't make it on to the IJDC stand! We had a Series I E type 'flat floor' roadster, probably the oldest roadgoing one in the country and a 1946 Mk V Jaguar, assembled by Cavey's in Camden Street. Pretty much everything else from an SS100 to a new XK8 too! Thanks to everyone who supported the show and raised funds for the charities - the final result was 1,295 car passes issued before we had to close the gates.

Hi Brendan, Time ran away with me on the day and I wasn't able to take as many pics as I would have liked. I also learned a valuable lesson - get there early! It gets very difficult to take pictures with crowds around every car. I'll definitely be up to you next year.

Hi Shane I was at the show on Sunday, sorry i missed you. But very pleased that you thought our little club, BMW Classics Ireland, worthy of your camera's attention. My car was the ratty burgundy red 2002 at the back. Not quite as ratty as the rat-look blue 2002 with the inflatable shark on its roof rack, which was beyond cool, but I'm working on it.

An absolute whale of a time I had - too many cars and bikes and other stuff to look at for the short time I was there - I had to be dragged from the field kicking and screaming like a child =) A wonderful show for an excellent cause, hat's off to the organizers!
