What do I have to do to get the free cover?

Simply purchase a Motorcheck report on-line and you will receive 4 Weeks free breakdown assistance cover from the date you activate the cover.

How long do I have to activate the free cover?

The 4 weeks free cover offer will remain valid for a period of 31days after the date you purchased the Motorcheck report.  Once you activate the cover within this timeframe you will get 4 weeks free cover.

How do I activate the cover?

After you purchase a Motorcheck report you will be able to activate the cover by going the the "Activate Cover" page withing the Breakdown Cover section of the Motorcheck website.

Who is the insurer?

Motorcheck have partnered with Inter Partner Assistance to provide Motor Check Breakdown Assistance.

Is the cover nationwide?

Yes, cover is nationwide but limited to roadside assistance and a local tow to a garage within 15 miles of the breakdown.

What Happens after the months free cover?

When the 4 weeks free cover ends your policy will automatically expire. However we will contact you shortly before the 4 weeks cover is up to remind you your cover has nearly ended.

Can I buy a 1-year policy?

Yes! Call us on 1890 252 944 and we will be happy to provide you with a 1 year policy at very competitive prices.

How many times can I have this free cover?

Every time you purchase a Motorcheck report you will receive 4 weeks free cover.

How long is the offer available?

Initially the offer is being trialled for 3 months.

How do I understand the cover limitations?

Who is covered under this policy?

The vehicle, any person driving the vehicle with your permission, and any passenger in the insured vehicle (max 7 people including the driver).

Can I claim straight away?

Yes you can claim immediately after you have purchased a Motorcheck report.

If I’m driving another vehicle and it breaks down, will I be covered for recovery?

Insured assistance is solely applicable for the vehicle registration named on your Policy. We may be able to offer you a referral service if the vehicle you are driving does not have breakdown cover on this policy.

Who will you send to recover my vehicle?

We have an approved network of recovery operators across Ireland. Our network is continuously vetted and monitored to ensure they have the resources and Qualifications to carry out the appropriate work to the highest of quality standards. We will always contact the nearest approved recovery agent to the scene of your vehicle’s breakdown.

Can I cancel the policy? Will I get a refund?

If you find that the cover does not meet your needs, contact 1890 252 944 we will arrange to cancel your policy. There will be no refund as the policy is free.

If I have an accident do you help with the cost for damages and/or repairs?

No, we provide assistance following a breakdown as defined in the definitions of the policy. We do not provide accident assistance. Please refer to your vehicles’ Insurance policy.

Is there an age limit on the Vehicle?

No, all vehicles are covered under this particular policy.

Can I use my vehicle for work?

You can use your vehicle for traveling to and from work but we do not provide cover for vehicle’s being used for commercial purposes i.e. taxi or transporting goods.

Can I have more than one policy going at once?

Yes.
