Step by Step Guide

Arranging a Technical Inspection with MotorCheck and our chosen partner Advance Pitstop is easy. Simply follow the 'Step by Step Guide' below or call us at 01-8839230 where a member of our customer service team will be happy to organise it for you in person.

Step 1 - Contact the vehicle owner and arrange a suitable time to have the vehicle brought to a test centre for the inspection. Make sure there's a MotorCheck test centre that's convenient for the vehicle owner!

Step 2 - Return to the MotorCheck website and submit the registration number for the vehicle to be inspected. Click 'Get Report'.

Step 3 - Select 'Technical Inspection' from the basket and click 'Buy Now'.

Step 4 - Complete your purchase by entering your credit card details and clicking 'Make Payment'.

Step 5 - Study your MotorCheck 'Full Check' for the documented history of the vehicle. Print a blank copy of the Technical Inspection from your report (a link to this will be sent to you via email also).

Step 6 - Contact your nearest test centre and arrange an inspection for the date and time that you have agreed with the vehicle owner (please allow at least 2 working day's notice).

Step 7 - Please arrive at the test centre with the vehicle at least 15 minutes early. Present your copy of the inspection to the technican on site. Allow 90 minutes for the inspection and 30 minutes for the results afterwards (2 hours in total).
