Shortlist Announced for Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards

Out of an eligible 94 company cars nominated in the inaugural Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards 2012, 21 have been selected by the expert judging panel to compete under the 5 main segments that are dedicated to the business user.
The Shortlist announced today features the majority of leading brands in the corporate car sector. Each car listed (which are all diesel powered) will have a specific model from their range put forward for final consideration by the jury over the coming weeks and up to the day of the Awards presentation.
Among the criteria the panel will be assessing in the selection process are styling, quality, engine and driving performance; equipment levels, running costs, residual values and BIK (Benefit in Kind).
Shane Teskey, Managing Director, Motorcheck.ie commended the adjudication panel on the announcement of the Shortlist for the Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards 2012, held in association with Fleet Car magazine supported by the Health & Safety Authority, “Compliments to the judges for selecting a strong line-up of contenders in the various categories that form this year’s competition. The selection and election process involves members of the Company/Corporate Car industry from Managing Directors of Leasing Companies, Financial Advisors, Accountants, Advanced Driver Trainers, Fleet Safety Specialists, Technicians and 'User-Chooser' drivers. We are looking forward to the day of the Awards when final scorecards are completed and the fleet sector officially recognises its winners from this quality field,” he said.
Cathal Doyle, Deputy Editor, Fleet Car Magazine, Media Partner to the Awards added, “We appreciate the major contribution that the corporate car sector makes to the Irish motor industry from new sales, aftersales, finance, fuel etc. It is past time that this important part sector is recognized and what better way than an Awards programme voted by experts and thanks to motorcheck.ie for facilitating this.”
