TextCheck.ie - A Great New Way to Get a Car Value

This week marks the launch of an exciting new platform from MotorCheck.ie. TextCheck.ie is our brand new SMS service that (as you might have guessed) allows users to access our data using the humble text message (no fancy-pants App's here!).
The Irish company behind MotorCheck.ie - Benchmark Automotive has been providing data services to the Irish motor industry for 10 years (it's our birthday next month!). If you've requested an insurance quote online, placed a classified car ad or even bought an oil filter from your local motor factor it's likely that your provider used our automotive data to process your order.

Car Values

Car valuations was one of our very first products and for the past decade we've worked at perfecting the service for the insurance industry. Given our history in this area we thought it would be nice if the first service we launched on our SMS platform 'TextCheck' could also be based on car valuations so we spent the best part of 2012 adapting our technology for the private buyer (or seller).
The result is Textcheck - an easy to use SMS based service that gives anybody with a mobile phone the ability to instantly value a car (or van).
All you have to do is text the word VALUE followed by the registration number of the car to 51155 to get an instant, accurate and independent valuation. This will be really useful for anybody considering the purchase of a car (is it a bargain or are you being taken for a ride?) or putting one up for sale (don't waste time waiting for offers that will never come - get the asking price right from the start and make a sale quickly).
Each valuation costs just €3 and you'll receive a free identity check along with your valuation and a discount voucher worth €3.50 off a full MotorCheck Car History Check.

TextCheck is now available to customers on the O2 and Vodafone networks giving over 80% of Irish mobile users access to the service.
